Chef Sean FulfordOne of Austin’s Best Takes the Culinary Reins at Flat Creek’s Bistro!Flat Creek Estate Vineyard & Winery, named as one of Food & Wine magazines, “50 Most Amazing Places to Taste Wine in America”, announces an exciting new pairing with Chef Sean Fulford.Sean Fulford, who the Austin American Statesman touted as one of The Best New Chefs in 2005, is back in Austin to assume the role of Executive Chef at The Bistro at Flat Creek. Having spent over 15 years perfecting his skills both locally & around the globe, he returns to the Hill Country with a beautiful menu featuring Texas Tuscan Cuisine to compliment Flat Creek’s award-winning wines.

Following a year abroad at The Pacific Island Club, a 5-star resort in Guam, there was a brief stint consulting on restaurant concepts & cooking in prviate homes in Houston. However, the allure of hanging his chef coat at the winery was just too good an offer to resist.

“It has been my experience that beautiful surroundings and exceptional wine will always inspire amazing food,” says Fulford. “Outside Northern California, there are few places in the country a chef would have the opportunity to craft signature dishes alongside a winemaker of this caliber & owners this passionate.”

The Bistro is open 11-4 Friday through Sunday & offers a menu that represents the desire owners Rick & Madelyn Naber had to create a destination winery. The three-course tasting menu changes monthly, is paired with Flat Creek wines & features clean, rustic fare like Roasted Cauliflower Soup, Stuffed Quail, and Braised Short Ribs. Daily flatbread specials, cheeses and extraordinary desserts are also included in The Bistro’s offerings.

Fall Wedding Centerpieces – Top Ideas

0
Choosing to have a fall wedding is very popular today. Brides and grooms enjoy having all the different fall colors as part of their wedding theme. There are plenty of ideas that you can use for your wedding if it is being held in the fall, and one of the main things you need to consider are fall wedding center pieces.

The centerpieces of the reception tables are very important as they are the first things that people see when they enter and give the room a specific ambiance. Choosing from the various fall wedding centerpieces can be a challenge as there are so many ideas. Here are just a few:

Fall Colors
When you have a fall wedding, using the fall colors is a top choice. You can create a warm and inviting atmosphere with reds, golds, oranges, and bronze tones. Your fall wedding favors can also form part of the centerpiece as long candles, or incense sticks. You can choose various twisted branches and interesting pine cones to spray paint gold and use red, yellow, and orange flowers in between.

Centerpieces that Hang
If you want to do something a little unique, think about turning things upside down. Instead of having the centerpieces on the tables, hang them above rather. This way your guests will all get to chat easily and the effect will be stunning. You can use fruits, nuts, leaves and twigs to create the baskets and for a more rustic feel you can even use wicker baskets. You could spray them bronze or gold for a more elegant feel, or you could wrap them with fairy lights to make it more romantic.

Tall Fall Centerpieces
If you want something more modern and simple, then you could go for tall centerpieces. These will be narrow so they take up little space on the table. You could use long twigs or twisted sticks sprayed in whichever colors you like, and place them into a long glass vase. Place this onto a mirror tile and stand a candle on it next to the vase. On the other side you can place a large flower head or perhaps and small bunch lying loosely. You might also choose to use three candles which can be bound together with twine.

Leaves
The most obvious theme for a fall wedding is to use leaves. While this may sound boring, there are many ways it can be spectacular. For a centerpiece idea you can take a pile of fall leaves and spray them all different golds, bronzes and coppers. Make sure that they are quite firm using some hair spray over it and drop them all into a fat glass vase. On top place a collection of your favorite flowers just using the heads. For a more romantic feel you can use long hanging plants that will drape over the sides of the vase.

These are just a few of the top ideas for fall wedding centerpieces. There are tons more you can find, and also think of yourself. You can use anything as inspiration and choose different elements about the fall that you love.

Most of all have fun planning your fall wedding and remember that nothing is a bad idea as long as you love it.
